God takes Ezekiel to the Valley of Dry Bones, and tells him to prophesy to the bones that God will give them life again. Ezekiel does what he is told, and has the vision of the dry bones being restored to life – Ezekiel says there are enough to form an army.
Then God says He will do the same to His people:
“The people of Israel are like these bones. They say that they are dried up, without any hope and with no future. I will put my breath in them, bring them back to life…”
“I, the Sovereign Lord, tell you that I myself will look for my sheep and take care of them in the same way as a shepherd takes care of his sheep that were scattered.
“I will let them graze in safety in the mountain meadows and the valleys and in all the green pastures.
“I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep and I will find them a place to rest.”
Dear God, Thank You for sending Jesus so that we are no longer estranged from You. Please help us depend on You, and the salvation Jesus bought for us. We cannot walk the walk of faith without depending on You, and living calmly in Your flock. Dear Father God, please forgive me all my sins in Jesus’ name, Amen
