Number 7 is a newspaper style account of the day the Holy Tent is anointed and dedicated. Each tribe gives the same offerings to the Lord in honor of the day. These include silver, gold, rams, bulls and flour.

The Lord spoke to Moses from the Mercy Seat.

Numbers 8-10 is an account of the packing up and moving on of camp, detailing the movements and order of the different tribes. God tells the Israelites to make trumpets as a means of communicating. They are to use specific trumpet calls for moving; celebrating and declaring war.

This is the prayer they are to say as they move camp, and it is a nice one for today:
“Arise Lord, scatter your enemies and put to flight those who hate you. Indeed. Amen”
