The second half of Song of Solomons spoke to me more than the first..

The woman lover, the fairest among women, cannot find her beloved, and longs for him, and goes seeking him but gets beaten by the watchmen.

Finally they are reunited.

“Come, my beloved, let us go forth to the field; let us lodge in the villages. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine has budded…. and the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my love.”

Dear God, Please help me keep looking for You and hoping for You, even though it is dark and there is much to fear. Please help me remember how much You love me. Come Lord Jesus, Come, into this weary world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it. If a moan would give for love all the wealth of his houses, it would be utterly despised.”

Dear Father God, You are love. We have forgotten You, lost faith and despised You. Please help us to look for You, to seek Your kingdom of love, and love You back. Then we can start building Your kingdom on earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen
