Some lovely promises from God in these parts of Isaiah. Chapter 44 is beautiful:

“The Lord says, ‘Listen now, Israel my servant… I am the Lord who created you; from the time you were born, I have helped you. Do not be afraid; you are my servant…

“I will give water to the thristy land and make streams flow on the dry ground. I will pour out my spirit on  your children and my blessing on your descendents. They will thrive like well-watered grass….”

The Proverbs in these chapters also have some gems. Here are a couple of my favorites:

15v 33 “Reverence for the Lord is an education in itself. You must be humble before you can ever receive honors.”

13 V 17: Unreliable messengers cause trouble but those who can be trusted bring peace.”

Dear Father God, I love You. Please help me love You more. Please move throughout our world this Christmas so that we all see anew Your love, peace, joy and kindness. In Jesus’ name, Amen
