Elisha continues to live and make miracles, but the Israelites are about to come to a new low.

While Elisha fights off a battalion by making them blind and leading them to the Israelites, the Syrians besiege Samaria. Things get so bad a donkeys head sells for eighty shekels and birds poo, for five shekels.

A mother tells the King the story of how she had to boil her son to eat to stop from dying, and the king goes to kill Elisha. But Elisha somehow saves himself and predicts the drought will end the next day.

The king and his commander laugh at this, but sure enough that night a band of lepers at the gate decide they have starved long enough, and that they will throw themselves on the mercy of the Syrian army. But when they enter the Syrians camp they find it empty.

God had put fear into their hearts, making them think they had heard an encroaching army, and they fled, leaving all their food behind them.

The lepers, even though they have been cast out of the city, decide to share this great news.

Psalm 45 seems to be about God, or maybe about Jesus. It is all about an extremely lovely being.

Dear God, Thank you for giving me your love. Please help me feel your love, and please let me share your love. Please help me to wait on you each day. You are amazing. In Jesus’ name, Amen
