It has been four seasons in one day in my soul today. My faith is low, like my Christmas candle, and the angry feelings in my soul have been out to bite. Jeremiah isn’t really a balm for my soul today, except for this verse:<\/p>\n

“I will give them the desire to know that I am the Lord. Then they will be my people, and I will be their God, because they will return to me with all their heart.”<\/p>\n

And the refrain from Psalm 136 – His love is eternal.<\/p>\n

Dear eternally-loving Father God, I need You. Please come to me. I am filled with the desire to know You, but filled with fears which I cannot name. Please plant and watch over my faith, please build me and keep me standing. Please help me do Your work. But first, please hold onto me today while I am weak, and please don’t let me go.
