I’ve always felt London was saved in WW2 not just by those who battled physically, but by the National Days of Prayer, and that the prayers of the faithful do much to keep cities alive. In modern times, have our prayers been as faithful? Do we pay any attention to God in the midst of all the excitement, the champage with gold bubbles…. when that was all overthrown I think there were a lot of prayers going up to God – and life has stabilised.<\/p>\n

Dear God, Thank You for London, for its amazing diversity and its people and its culture. But please don’t let us be blinded by all the amazing parts of this city, so that we forget our first and most important task: seeking You and Your kingdom, and sharing it with others.
