Job finishes off his lamenting, and is quiet. His three friends, probably tired of him getting angry at them, are also quiet.<\/p>\n

But up pops the voice of Elihu, a young man who has sat quietly to hear the words of his elders.<\/p>\n

He is shocked, though, at how far they have missed the mark:<\/p>\n

“His (Elihu’s) wrath was around because Job justified himself rather than God.”<\/p>\n

Then he says that Job is not as pure as he thinks he is, that no man can ever be, and that it is right that God tests man throughout his life, to keep his soul from the Pit, because all men veer towards it through their life.<\/p>\n

Elihu concludes that: “Job speaks without knowledge, and his words are without wisdom.”<\/p>\n

There are also quotes from Elihu that I don’t quite understand: Job 33 verse 22-26: “Yes his soul draws near the Pit and his life to the executioners. ‘If there is a messenger for him, a mediator, one among a thousand, to show man His uprightness, then He is gracious to him and says ‘Deliver him from going down to the Pit; I have found a ransom’….<\/p>\n

I will look these verses up elsewhere to try to understand them better.<\/p>\n

Dear God, Thank You for Your word. Thank You that it is moving in me and creating new feelings in me. Please give me Your Spirit, and please help me create with it. Please help me heal those who are suffering. Please help me be more patient, more humble and more kind. I believe. Help me believe more.
