“But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built.<\/p>\n
“Yet regard the prayer of Your servant, O Lord my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You: that your eyes may be open toward this temple day and night, toward the place where You said You would put Your name, that You may heart the prayer which Your servant makes in this place.”<\/p>\n
Solomon also asks that the temple be a place for forgiveness, for asking for justice and also for refuge for foreigners.<\/p>\n
That night, God grants his request, but warns the Israelites must be obedient if they want to access the promise.<\/p>\n
Dear God, I have been in somewhat of a mood these last few days and I ask that you forgive me for all my unclean and mean thoughts. Create in me a clean heart, my Father, and put a new and right spirit within me. Take not your Holy Spirit from me, and please help me be fruitful for you.
