Young King Josiah ascends the throne and he turns things around for Israel. He starts repairing the temple.<\/p>\n

The temple must have been in a poor state, because as they are repairing it, the workmen discover the old book of the law!<\/p>\n

Josiah reads it – and weeps! He discovers how far from the covenant his people have strayed. Immediately he sets about putting it right.<\/p>\n

In return, God tells Josiah he will never see the destruction of the people of Israel – but that their doom has not been diverted forever. He is still too angry with Manasseh.<\/p>\n

Psalm 50 is lovely. It starts off talking about how the righteous can trust in God for everything: “You shall call upon my name in the day of trouble and I will deliver you, and you will glorify me….” Then it talks about how the wicked and what will happen to them: “These things you have done and I have kept silent; you thought that I was altogether like you; but I will rebuke you, and set them in order before your eyes.”<\/p>\n

So this is a warning: just because you’re getting away with evil does not mean there will not be judgment.<\/p>\n

Dear God, I have been drifting down my own path lately and I ask you please to help correct me back onto your path, and to do your will. You know my conflicts and I pray that you show me your way in the choices before me at the moment. Thank you for daily watching over my family. Please help me glorify you properly for that. Thank you that T&V got here safely. Please heal P and give comfort to N and G. Thank you that F is finding love, please help her stay in your path too.
