God is pleased with Solomon for faithfully fulfilling his earthly father’s wishes, so offers him a choice of any blessing he likes: riches, power – anything.<\/p>\n

Solomon asks for wisdom – the ability to discern between good and evil. He was already pretty wise I think. What a brilliant blessing to have.<\/p>\n

So God adds in all the riches and power too, and promises to make Solomon the most famous king. Arguably he is.<\/p>\n

Psalm 35 is a prayer for protection against enemies.<\/p>\n

Dear Father God, Please watch over my brothers. Watch over T and V as they travel and P &N. Please heal P. Please give me wisdom Father, and the ability to discern between good and evil.
