{"id":218,"date":"2009-06-30T08:28:13","date_gmt":"2009-06-29T21:28:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blesspress.com\/journal\/?p=218"},"modified":"2009-06-30T08:28:13","modified_gmt":"2009-06-29T21:28:13","slug":"whoever-receives-one-little-one-in-my-name-matt-18-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blesspress.com\/journal\/whoever-receives-one-little-one-in-my-name-matt-18-20\/","title":{"rendered":"Whoever receives one little one in my name&#8230; Matt 18-20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The disciples start getting competitive with each other, and asking who will be greatest in heaven.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus called a child and said: &#8220;Whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Later in the verses when the disciples are trying to keep some children from being blessed by Jesus, he rebukes them, saying &#8220;Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So the last shall be first, and apart from being humble, and serving each other, we should really try to leave the rest up to God.<\/p>\n<p>Dear God, Please help me just to keep serving you, without always having to be the best, the first and the most brilliant. Please help me be humble, while also shining your love and light into the world.
