Jesus prepares to send out his disciples to preach, heal, bring the dead back to life, heal those suffering dreaded skin diseases and drive out demons.<\/p>\n

He tells them life will be hard, they will be persecuted – maybe by members of their own family – but he ends with my favorite verse:<\/p>\n

“Come to me, all you who are tired from carrying heavy loads and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy and the load I will put on you is light.”<\/p>\n

Dear Father, Thank you for your word. Thank you for Jesus. Thank you that we can come to him and give him our worries and our cares. I can never be worthy of this amazing gift, and I thank you most of all for the grace you show me in letting me come to you anyway, In Jesus’ name, Amen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
