They moan and curse and organise a new leader to take them back to Egypt.<\/p>\n<p>So God threatens to kill them, and Moses is forced again to beg for their lives. Instead, God condemns every Israelite over 20 to die in the desert.<\/p>\n<p>The next day the Israelites wake up feeling better, so they decide they can take those giants after all. Without God on their side they fail.<\/p>\n<p>Then, on God&#8217;s instructions, Moses turns them around, and heads back into the desert.<\/p>\n<p>Dear God, I think my life sometimes mirrors the confusion and rebellion of the Israelites in the desert.
