Saul and Jonathan are killed in a nasty battle and after a short struggle between the house of Saul (led by Abner his commander) and the house of David, David is anointed king over the whole of Israel.

Dear God, Thank you for a lovely celebration yesterday. Thank you for my family and friends. Please help me get over the horrid behaviour of that man in the restaurant. Please help me be a more patient mother. Thank you for my marriage. Please help me be a kinder wife and person. Help me to remember you before every action, my Lord, and remember that I am your child and representative.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
