More whining, this time about the fact that they are headed back into the depths of the desert, and that they can not find water.

Moses and Aaron bow down to God and pray for water, and he tells Moses to hit a certain rock with his staff. Water gushes out.

But something else must have happened here, because God promptly tells Moses and Aaron they will not see the promised land because of their lack of faith in the incident.

Dear God, My faith is being sorely tried by all the rules and burnings and whingeing and fighting in these chapters. I feel lost too, just like I am in the desert with the Israelites. I guess I am, waiting for you in this broken world, and trying to work out what you want. Please also help S to get on better with A. Dear God, I believe, help me believe more, and more joyfully, In Jesus name, Amen.
