The Israelites have got the God of everything on their side, yet when spies report giants in the promised land,  what do they do? They moan and curse and organise a new leader to take them back to Egypt.

So God threatens to kill them, and Moses is forced again to beg for their lives. Instead, God condemns every Israelite over 20 to die in the desert.

The next day the Israelites wake up feeling better, so they decide they can take those giants after all. Without God on their side they fail.

Then, on God’s instructions, Moses turns them around, and heads back into the desert.

Dear God, I think my life sometimes mirrors the confusion and rebellion of the Israelites in the desert. Please help me have more trust in your plan for my life, and to follow your plan daily and in each little thing, In Jesus’ name, Amen
