Let justice flow like a stream… Amos 1-9

Reading the minor prophets at the end of the Old Testament is a bit like struggling through wet cement. The constant disobedience of God’s people and his anger at them becomes grinding.

“Stop your noisy songs; I do not want to listen to your harps. Instead let justice flow like a stream, and righteousness like a river that never goes dry.”

Dear Father God, Please watch over my faith. You promise that those who trust in you will find their strength renewed. Please strengthen me, as I feel weak today. Weak from the lack of justice from L, from the expectations and pushing of others, and from an overwhelming list of things to do, and no clear feeling of priorities. I find it hard to know what You want me to do, and then I find it hard to wait for You as You instruct. Please give me Your peace. Dear Father please be with my dad, who is struggling to recover. In Jesus’ name, Amen
