Be loyal and just and wait patiently for Your God…Hosea
The story of Hosea and his prostitute wife Gomer is quite confronting, containing much begging from Homer for his errant wife to come home.
God likens this to his relationship with Israel, His people who love following idols more than their creator and defender.
God explains that, just like Hosea had to threaten to cut off his wife to stop her running off with others, God has had to let Israel suffer and work hard.
Dear Father God, Thank You for the gifts You shower on me. Please let me be your obedient child. Help me do Your work. Give me a spirit of obedience to You. Give me patience to wait on You. Forgive me my sins as You have promised You will, thanks to the sacrifice of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Please be with my Father and give him strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
